Despite it's name, jojoba is not actually an oil but actually a liquid wax which has very similar structure to human skin sebum. Because of this it has a natural affinity to the skin, and is readily absorbed without making the skin feel greasy or tacky nor does it clog the pores and helps to balance the production of sebum - your skin's own lubricating medium.
Jojoba oil is helpful for people with acne prone skin and does not aggravate acne, and also helps to break down sebum in plugged-up pores.
It is a good carrier oil for aromatherapy and can also be used as a hot oil hair treatment or can be applied to dry, flaky scalps.
